There could have been solutions like 30 fps in local co-op modes.

fenome3389d ago

At least give the option! I hate the lack of local Co op nowadays..

bouzebbal3389d ago

especially for this kind of games.. This is just PR sh**!!! Never in the 16bit era a BTA game came without local coop, especially TMNT.
out of my list!

FallenAngel19843389d ago

This would've been a blast to play on local co-op though

It's sad this comic book turned tabletop roleplaying game never got a good video game.

Quote "It also allows the player some opportunities to use death to their advantage by luring enemies into a false sense of security. Some astute players may have noticed, but the E3/Gamescom demo also featured an item that allows you to cause your own death specifically for the purpose of taking this advantage."

Awesome, you can play dead, only to resurrect and stab the enemies in the back.

Wow, thumbs up for remembering that game!

Great classic.

Imalwaysright2569d ago

Are you talking about Blood will tell? I'll be damned if it isn't the most underrated game ever made.

ApocalypseShadow2569d ago

Thumbs up for Dororo/Blood Will Tell.

Still got that game on PS2. Would love a remaster of that. Or sequel.

starchild2569d ago

Good taste, guys. That game was
awesome.

I feel that with games like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Nioh 2, Aragami: Nightfall and Ghost of Tsushima we are seeing a kind of revival of those Japanese themed games that were much more common in the PS2 days.

Obscure_Observer2568d ago

Dororo was awesome! I would love a sequel to play with her as an all grown up woman.

Smokehouse2569d ago

Nope. We will get our stat based rpg stuff in Nioh. This is just a straight up action game which is awesome.

I will be playing all three of the announced feudal Japan games and I’m glad they are all different lol.

IamTylerDurden12567d ago

So Sekiro is DMC? II know it's more action oriented, but it's not DMC. The action in Nioh is much faster than Souls but it's still a Souls game.

Smokehouse2566d ago

Nioh is an rpg, you add points into slots to make a character a certain way. If you point dump into the heart category you will be a beast at swords for example. There are many systems and classes involved. Same with the souls games.

In your standard action game you level up with points but there is only one class one path. In far cry you are probably going to unlock every ability, it’s not a branching path sort of deal. Like god of war you are given some play with armors and abilities but you are going to use an axe, that’s just how it is. Basically it’s an action game with rpg elements instead of an RPG with action elements. There is a big difference imo. I’m trying to think of an action game with a grappling hook in the combat but I’m drawing blank, there are many though.

Japanese game with a sword. I see your point. Definitely exactly like Nioh.

Tapani2569d ago

Yeah, like a western game with a gun! All the same! ;P

IamTylerDurden12567d ago

Nioh is a Samurai game that resembles a From Soft title. Sekiro is a Samurai (Ninja) game by From Soft.

Nioh has a ready made protagonist as opposed to creating your own. Sekiro is exactly the same way.

The aesthetic is very similar, both will likely feature high difficulty levels.

Both are 3rd person hack n slash games with rpg elements in an old lore Japanese setting with ready made male Samurai (Ninja) protagonists featuring fast brutal sword play and combat.

Segata2569d ago

Not in aesthetics but if anything this is closer to Otogi with maybe some Tenchu thrown in but still not either one of those.

Dragonscale2569d ago

So every Japanese based ninja game is now trying to be Nioh? Its Fromsoft for starters and apart from the setting doesn't look anything like Nioh tbh.

IamTylerDurden12567d ago

Nioh is a Souls style Samurai game. Nioh resembles a From game but in a Japanese setting. Sekiro is literally a Samurai game by From Soft. It's much more than just "the Japanese setting".

Dragonscale2567d ago

@Tyler, sorry not convinced. The similarities pretty much end with the setting, tbh Sekiro looks more like a ninja game. The main protagonist is nothing like William, the combat looks different to nioh. The level traversal looks more involved, the enemies look different. Graphically nioh wasn't the best and the levels were very samey with not much enemy variety. Also does that mean Ghost of Tsushima is basically nioh as well then? Somehow I don't you'll agree with that though.

“Another difference is that in Dark Souls games you choose a class. In Sekiro there is one class, and that’s ninja. There is no more stat system, and the game is based on something different that the developer isn’t ready to detail in depth.“

I love it, actually.
