Remember the Xbox one and PS4 announcements? Sony managed to price the PS4 much cheaper than the Xbox One, to everybody’s surprise. The games lineup was also impressive, including Sony’s great support for Indies. Coupled with several launch announcement mistakes on Microsoft’s side, this quickly projected the PS4 as the clear winner of this generation of consoles.
It seems that Sony is using the same strategy with Playstation VR.
Shahmeer from eXputer: "I've always wondered whether the success of Hogwarts Legacy had much to do with nostalgia. The RPG is great but certainly not free of issues."
I still haven’t finished it, mostly due to it not holding my interest after 20 hours. Wouldn’t say it’s a bad game, wouldn’t say it’s amazing I really can’t judge it fully due to not completing it.
Harry Potter is one of the biggest IPs in the world. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why it sold so much. It’s a great game on top of that, so the math kind of maths here.
Can’t wait for the article on if Zelda or Mario only sold well due to nostalgia.
ngl, it got me in the first half hour
after that, a big let down, mediocre at every step
only fans are praising it
It's still a good game almost time for a 2nd playthrough, the passion they put into it is🔥🔥 crazy how after a couple months or a year folks get to complaining about this n that about certain games smh childish mfs
Island of Winds was announced for PlayStation 5 and PC a long time ago, and now an Xbox edition is also set for release.
Discover the impact of the recent Fallout show on Amazon Prime and the white-hot popularity of the Fallout franchise. Will there be a Fallout 5 anytime soon? How about any new Fallout? Its a good problem to have.
We still have yet to see Sony do a trolling viral video with PSVR like they did with PS4 :P
While I am sure PSVR is going to have more success than the others on the mainstream market, I believe the success of the others are also important for the whole VR industry. Oculus and Vive on the PC side, PSVR on the console market and Samsung Gear and Google on the mobile market.
There is a lot of strong VR support and I want them all to succeed.
Oooook, so now spec don't matter now!? The price, it's always the price!
How is anyone winning when no hardware is available to consumers yet? Sony has sold exactly ZERO PSVR to date. Don't talk about price either... When you factor in the camera @$45, move controllers@$50, and headset @$80 (all things included in Oculus Rifts' entry price) PSVR is almost the same price as OR is.
