According to the latest NPD report and a statement issued by Nintendo, the recent release of Fire Emblem: Fates and Pokémon Yellow, Pokémon Red, and Pokémon Blue for Nintendo 3DS set new sales records during their release month. Both Fire Emblem and Pokémon were released during the month of February and saw explosive sales on the Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, the release of Pokémon Yellow, Red, and Blue was a major digital release and one that was highly anticipated by longtime fans of the Pokémon series.
The top 10 rarest 3DS games of all time are probably ones you both did and didn't expect. Especially if you had these games!
I have Fire Emblem Fates LE, the European one. Not sure if it's as valuable as the US version, but it certainly was in high demand.
Its not often I actually have games on the 'most expensive list' but I do own Rhythm Thief and Layton vs. Ace Attorney. I believe both of them are sealed as well.
We’ve seen fan remakes of Pokemon games in the past, some very well done! Today, Pokebro on Youtube posted a video where he gave himself 2 weeks to remake Pokemon Yellow in 3D. The remake features a voxel art style and borrows some mechanics from both Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and Legends Arceus.
The average cost of Game Boy games has been steadily rising for years. If you look at the overall price growth, which has doubled within the last five years, then it should be pretty clear Game Boy game prices are following the trend of increasing retro video game prices.
You would have to be crazy to keep a Pokemon game in the box after getting it as a kid, though.
I still have my Final Fantasy Adventure and Zelda: Link's Awakening, but loose. I haven't had the box in... I don't know, a couple decades?
Shame there's no numbers for Pokemon, surely could at least say what smash bros had? That must have been revealed by now, at least then we'd have an idea how many it cleared minimum ;) still with SNES games out now 3DS should get another boost, just GBA games needed now and then alls happy. Maybe N64 as well ;)
Nostalgia wins again
If prefer they release Pokemon Gold, Silver, & Crystal next
