i think it could definitely have run at 60fps on ps4 most of the time

Vegamyster3341d ago

My GTX 970M gets 60 fps on Medium settings or 45-50 fps high settings 1080p, no way the PS4 can do 60 fps unless they drop the res/graphics.

kraenk123341d ago

PC and console specs aren't comparable just like that.

Rayven3341d ago (Edited 3341d ago )

Although I don't really think the PS4 can run the game @ 60 fps without graphical hits, @kraenk is right. You can't compare the two simply because console versions are always more efficient in using hardware.

And I think you're using a mobile/laptop GPU. I don't know any specifics about it but I think the PS4 is equivalent if not more powerful than your laptop when efficiency is factored in.

Riseer3341d ago

Well your 970M has less bandwidth than the Ps4 gpu but i am sure your Cpu more than makes up for it if you compare it to Ps4.

Vegamyster3341d ago

@kraenk12

Digital Foundry has done multiple tests and the GTX 750 TI paired with i3's offers very similar performance to the PS4 in most games. I wasn't comparing them directly, just saying if my computer with higher specs can't do it then the PS4 won't.

@Rayven

The GTX 970M has very similar performance to a desktop 960, I've uploaded plenty of videos and in nearly all of them i can hit 60 fps with settings cranked in demanding games.

Riseer3341d ago

Nah maybe 40-45 but not 60fps.

TheXgamerLive3341d ago

Really? Is that all, lol
Stop it already hahaha.

Always those few fanboys.

Great start for gaming in 2016.

DashArrivals3341d ago

Very good job all round for both consoles. I have to say well done to Ubisoft. The game does look great.

Black0ut3341d ago

I was blown out by both the console versions and PC version visuals in the beta. Definitely kudos to Ubi for that...

Praying that the game doesn't get stale as I've loved hearing about it since the announcement.

ziggurcat3341d ago

very sold frame rates for both consoles!

DivineAssault 3341d ago

Dynamic resolution really helps the xbox achieve 1080p.. I think thats the best option for devs moving forward if they want the games to look like PS4.. Good job with performance, maybe ill pick this game up after all.. I pre ordered it but wanted to see some reviews first.. It looks great to me so far..

...

What "dynamic" has to do with achieving 1080p? Is that some special sauce in Xbone? What spin is that?
You sound like the game is full 1080p. But it's not.

kraenk123341d ago

That doesn't make any sense.

Riseer3341d ago

Yea you are spinning, the fact that Xone needs to run in a dynamic resolution tells you how bad the gpu is. Both console are weak as hell but one of them is just sad.

DivineAssault 3341d ago

What are you talking about? I dont even own xb1, i have PS4.. I know the PS4 version is best like damn near every other game.. Im saying that the dynamic res like they used in halo, helps the xb1 run games in 1080p.. I think its better than them being stuck with 720p all the time..

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

shinoff2183756d ago

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

-Foxtrot756d ago

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno755d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Flawlessmic755d ago

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

Hofstaderman755d ago

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

Dagexon755d ago

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
