The simulation racing juggernaut Forza Motorsport will be heading into PC territory for the first time in the form of Forza Motorsport 6: Apex. Announced at a private press event in San Francisco last week, Apex will be a curated and free experience made primarily for bringing in new players from the PC world into the Forza community.
Regular viewers of this series will know that it's sometimes a struggle to get a great 4K experience from GTX 970, involving lots of testing and settings tweaks. But what if the game did the settings adjustments for you on the fly?
Pretty easy to see why when you play them.
I personally run Horizon at slightly lower specs than Apex. Still looks miles better. Also far more fun but that's just my opinion, prefer the slightly more arcade style.
I got curious as to what my fps would be like on Horizon since I haven't really played it since launch and I heard that there was a performance patch. I was pretty impressed that I got around 90-110fps on Ultra at 2560x1440, I remember the fps used to be all over the place.
Turn10 runs a pretty tight shift not only with their schedule every two years, but their engines as well. One of the best optimizes engines in the business.

Forza fans on Windows 10 PC can now experience new content in Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, with the launch of the Forza Motorsport 6: Apex Premium Edition. Released today, the Premium Edition includes the base game of Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, along with three newly-released content packs for the game; two car collections and a new track pack, bringing the legendary Nürburgring to the game.
