If Halo starts coming to PC too then I think I may sell my Xbox One at this rate! Probably won't happen but I can dream!

Just need Sunset Overdrive and Crackdown to come to PC as well.

MegaRay3402d ago

Yeah, I hope sunset Overdrive and Crackdown come to pc too

Takwin3402d ago

The only two Xbox One games I've ever wanted were Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break. I would still have to stomach all the Windows Store restrictions and silliness, but at a steep discount, I probably would.

G20WLY3402d ago

I've never been sold on Sunset Overdrive. I'm down for some silliness, but to me it looks stupid in a puerile way rather than a fun way. Heard it plays well though!

And of course, it would be great if those that do want it could play it on their PC!

Mr Pumblechook3402d ago

Halo 6 in 4K 60fps would be amazing.

This and HTC Vive VR is making me seriously think about putting together a hardcore gaming PC later this year.

_-EDMIX-_3402d ago

"Probably won't happen"? ??? LOL!

How many comments from MS do you actually need to read before you get they are not holding any titles back for XONE?

Whats funny, is some on hear kept denying this every announcement.

KI and Gears "Oh well its not ReCore, Quantum Break or anything"

ReCore "Well its new, Quantum Break will move units so no"

Quantum Break "Well their system sellers like Forza, Halo won't go"

Forza "well with Halo...Probably won't happen" LMFAO!

Are you serious? How much do you really need to read from MS themselves saying BOTH will be supported?

Black0ut3402d ago (Edited 3402d ago )

Just a question, why not sell it now? It seems like you're trying to make a point which is fair enough, but honestly I'd just sell it if I were you because you clearly don't like this new direction that MS is heading with Windows 10 and Xbox integration.

Save the pain and the posting and just get rid of it TBH.

Adexus3402d ago

Huh? I love the direction MS is heading in, bringing more games to PC as that's where I mainly game, I have a PS4 and Xbox One for exclusives and I'll be keeping my Xbox One until I know for sure that everything that's coming out is also heading to PC.

343_Guilty_Spark3402d ago

Microsoft didn't make much on your purchase of the console so who cares what you do? I'm asking a serious question. Who cares? You are still buying Xbox games. The Xbox One hardware will still be bought.

Adexus3402d ago

Not sure what point you're trying to make here?

You focused solely on me selling the console which wasn't even the point of my comment, but rather that more and more Xbox One games are coming to PC and if Halo comes across too I won't need it anymore... that's it, that's the point I was making, not if MS made a profit with me buying the console, not if people care if I sell it, nor if Xbox One hardware will still be bought which is quite possibly the most redundant and obvious statement I've read in some time, your comment is ultimately pointless.

*looks at name*

Ah.

Now that's some fine games heading to PC! Just need some Halo now, MCC will do and I can finally play Halo with my friends!

Oh yes, in case some western bros accusing 'hurr durr suddenly people are into PC gaming', here in Asia, mainly China, Korea, and South East Asia, PC gaming trumps console.

slate913402d ago

Nice way to generalize an entire region of gamers :D

notachance3402d ago (Edited 3402d ago )

well duh, because I experienced it myself...

although one of the main reason PC gaming so popular here is because of piracy, it's bad but it moves sales, just like PS2 era, it's so popular because it can be pirated from quite early.

also people seem to forget PC/laptop is also used for work, so it's not like all those hundred of dollars used purely to play games, most people used it to study or make even more money.

and unlike this thing people in forum seems to be believing, majority of PC gamers aren't stuck on 60fps ultra setting, changing graphic card every other year, or BS like that. Medium setting 30fps is more like it.

also MMOs, lots of Korean and Chinese MMOs, and Dota 2, and LoL

Volkama3402d ago (Edited 3402d ago )

He just means PC gaming is more popular in the reguion. That's not a generalisation, it's a measurable fact.

Griever3402d ago (Edited 3402d ago )

Well, I am from Asia as well and I can vouch as well that PC gaming is more popular. Wanna know why? Because its Free! Consoles were pretty popular until the PS2 era when you could install modchips and play pirated copies but since the PS3 era, they have gotten a lot less popular.

People earn a lot less over here compared to the west. For example, the average per capita income is just around $200 per month in my country. An average salaryman with a college degree earn around $250-$300 per month. As a result, even if people manage to buy a console after saving money for a year or two, they cannot afford to buy $60 games. I remember I bought a PS2 after saving money for 2 years but at least I did not need to buy $50 games after that since it was sold modded.

The same goes for PC these days. Once you buy a PC, you can just download the games for free or buy cheap pirated discs from local stores. Basically, the people on the average are much poorer in Asia so they choose the route that is the cheapest and most affordable. Then there has been the MMORPG craze in the more developed Asian countries and most of them are on PCs as well. As a result, PC gaming has more popular in Asia for several years.

styferion3402d ago (Edited 3402d ago )

I can vouch for it too, here in Asia PC gaming is way more popular than console, especially in China where console was officially banned until few years ago.

Because of currency rates, the price of console here isn't that different from a decent rig, there's no $400 awesomeness here. That's why it's easier to ask our wife/mother to buy PC than something purely meant for gaming, because the PC was totally for work.. and stuff. Yeah, we totally need at least GTX 950 for that Ms.Office, because you know, modern and all.

r3f1cul3402d ago

until i see some nice games coming the other direction windows to xbone, im still convinced that microsoft seems like they are trying to just completely kill the xbone or morph it into pc because giving away your exclusives just doesnt make any sense to me at this point... maybe im clouded by confusion and saltiness im not sure... but as much as ive already moved to pc gaming... im really just about to say forget it and make the move to 100% pc and say screw my friends on xbone because why bother when i can play them on a more powerful pc set up ... like what are they doing?

blackout3402d ago

Well I'm all in on this. This just works perfectly for every console and pc owner. This is Mr.Gates vision from the start. Just makes me think if Steve and Don never had a say in the x1. What if this was the message Microsoft gave at e3 a few years ago. What if? This CHOICE thing Microsoft is pushing is working. I'm a person who loves choice and diversity, please keep it coming. I know a lot of people may not want to here this but gear up for next gen where Windows 10, Steam and the ps4 control the whole earth. This plan should have happened in 2005 but we are here now. Enjoy gaming everyone.

Hideki Kamiya wants to revive Scalebound: 'Let's do it, Phil'

Hideki Kamiya is still interested in developing Scalebound, after the PlatinumGames and Microsoft action game was cancelled back in 2017.

ZwVw114d ago

He's been begging for the past three years. That ship has long sailed. Besides, Phil's a fake. When's the last time he delivered on a game the fans asked for? Still waiting on him to greenlight KI4.

InUrFoxHole113d ago

@8bit
Yeah I mentioned that below. Although in comparison concord was a bigger failure.

MetroidFREAK21114d ago

I mean I'm all for it... I'd buy it for PS5 since Xbox is doing these multiplatform releases now

MetroidFREAK21114d ago

Well, I vastly prefer physical versions of games, and I can't do that with my Series S... sooooooo assume what you will

Lexreborn2114d ago

Scalebound was my reasoning for buying and Xbox one. Legit my biggest let down last gen

raWfodog114d ago

Same here. That was going to be the game I'd buy a Xbox One for back in the day. It'd be good if they did revive it and improve on what they had at the time.

Chocoburger114d ago

Seems odd to be asking for it now that he left Platinum Games. He'll be busy with Okami 2 for a number of years, does he expect to develop the game at Clovers studio now? Would they be picking up where they left off, or starting over again? Any of the previous team members, or just him?

I doubt Phil would fund it again, but if so, then that would be good news, also fund a new Banjo as well as Conker games while you're at it. I miss Conker!

Michiel1989114d ago

doesn't seem odd at all, he'd want work and that game even though it suffered some bad press with the cancellation and stuff is still something that people want to see (i think)

Cancelled Games That Still Upsetti My Spaghetti

As a wise man once said: what be will, be will, and sometimes games just get canceled, whether it’s due to publisher meddling, a lack of funds or the creative vision simply not panning out.

Eight Days for me

Really would have enjoyed a buddy cop game with a Lethal Weapon like tone.

helicoptergirl164d ago

The only one that really bothered me was when Sony wouldn't fund Days Gone 2. That announcement made me literally feel nauseous. I felt sick in the guts. That's the first time Sony had done something that actually physically hurt me lol. I'm still bummed that there won't be a Days Gone 2.

lucasnooker114d ago

I would have loved the getaway 3! The original is still one of my favourite PS2 titles

Canceled Video Games That Still Hurt The Most

The cancellation of Rainbow Six Patriots, Alice Asylum, and Scalebound, among others, have hit players and fans like a truck over time.

Chocoburger340d ago

Advent Rising was planned to be a trilogy, and we never got parts 2 and 3.

Also wish THPS 10 was never canceled back in 2008. They were releasing the games at too fast a pace and just needed to slow it down instead of abandon the series entirely to make endless Guitar Hero games.

Stupid Activision executives.

RaidenBlack338d ago

My biggest "disappointment" for me, will always be Kojima's original MGS Rising from E3 2010.
The reveal trailer will always top my Gaming Expo highlights list, followed by MGS5 Ground Zeroes reveal at PAX 2013 and God of War reveal at E3 2016.
It looked soo good and cool. My heart sank when the whole Platinum's Revengeance thing got announced.
My 2nd disappointment is another Kojima, the Silent Hills.
3rd is tie b/w Rainbow 6: Patriots and the original Ghost Recon Future Soldier 2010 version.
4th is Unreal Tournament 4/2014
5th is Half Life Return to Ravenholm
(Dis)Honorable mentions: Delta Force Angel Falls, Brothers in Arms: Furious 4, Fallout Van Buren, Capcom's Deep Down, Original Duke Nukem Forever 2001 version, Prey 2, Command & Conquer: Generals 2, Timesplitters 4, Alice: Asylum, Mercenaries 3, KOTOR3, Star Wars 1313, StarCraft: Ghost, Legacy of Kain: Dead Sun, Whore of the Orient, Fable Legends, Star Wars Project Ragtag and maybe Agent?
Half Life 2 Episode 3 should top my list, but I still believe it'll happen. You know what might break the gaming internet and steal some of GTA 6's thunder? If Valve just posts '3' in any of their social account.

Chocoburger338d ago

I love Rising Revengeance, but I would have loved to see MGS: Rising, where we got to see Raiden's body destroyed at Area 51, and play some portions of MGS 4 from Raiden's perspective.

Good pick.

rlow1338d ago

Did you see play Advent Rising? If so, what did you think of it?

Chocoburger338d ago

Yes I played it long ago. Its kind of like Mass Effect, years before Mass Effect. You have to make choices which permanently affects the story.

Near the end of the game you have a bunch of super power abilities, I remember a shockwave stomp attack which wrecked enemies.

It was rushed out unpolished, so it had a lot of framerate issues, but I did end up having fun with it. Been over 15 years since I played it, so my memory is fuzzy, but I do remember I was looking forward to a sequel which never came.

XiNatsuDragnel339d ago

We need scalebound, Alice asylum, rainbow 6 patriots, battlefront 3, and half life episode 3 plz 🙏 if not official devs, fans make those games a reality do what cd project red dev said I have to look up the article but if something can't happen themselves then it's up to the fans to make it ourselves.

Relientk77338d ago

I played Alice: Madness Returns a couple years ago and it blew me away. What an amazing game and it still holds up. When EA said no to Alice Asylum I was so mad. EA also said something like "Alice is an important IP to us" Yeah, right an important IP that you do nothing with. License it out so we can get that 3rd game from American McGee.

INMATEofARKHAM338d ago

Interesting and pretty solid list but I would day it's Star Wars 1313 that hurts the most in terms of Star War games.

DaReapa338d ago

Honorable mentions go to Eight Days, Agent, and Whore of the Orient to name a few.

Deeeeznuuuts338d ago

All of them! But none more than Agent for me, how good a rockstar espionage game could have been! 😭
The getaway too!
