GTA v isn't the only game that's released three consoles generations running but nothing has sold those numbers including GTA San Andreas which is now 4 console generations deep.

You're either lying or just don't know what pre rendered means. Pre rendered means that if you change the character's appearance (clothes, accessories etc) they wouldn't show up in the cutscenes because they were already made and aren't being rendered in real time. This is something that doesn't happen in Rockstar games.

In fact some of the scenes in RDR2 looked better in the retail version than at launched.

Is there anything wrong with the enhanced version if you’re just playing single player?
Would it even still be GTA 5 though? The mod would have to change so many things for it to even be kid friendly, to the point where it might not even be fun anymore. You might as well just let your kids play something else.
