Games industry veteran Fergus McGovern has passed away

Popular toys and video game entrepreneur Fergus McGovern passed away at the weekend.

He was just 50.

McGovern is best known for co-founding Probe, a games developer that had worked on a number of major video game franchises including FIFA, Alien, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Mortal Kombat.

He sold the business to Acclaim in 1995, before re-launching it in 2010.

Yep, have fond memories of Probe games back in the day.

Totally agree, their character models and animation for games like Aliens 3 (SNES version) and Mortal Kombat were highly impressive.

They also made Die Hard Trilogy, one of the best movie based video games ever, at least during the 32bit era
