"ACC: Russia continues to shake up the gameplay facets introduced in the previous China and India episodes. But unfortunately, they now feel like change for the sake of it. India moved away from a then even split of combat and platforming in China to be platforming heavy; Russia reverts the other way with more substantive combat mechanics. Protagonist Orelov starts with a pike-like weapon and a rifle in his armoury, and there’s plenty of sniping sections located throughout the game’s 10 memories."
