Konami will release a completely updated and enhanced version of its popular GTi Club arcade game for PLAYSTATION3 via the PlayStation Store this November. Entitled GTi Club+, the game boasts all-new High-Defintion visuals and widely expanded gameplay elements.
GTi Club+ has been initiated by Konami's European Product Planning department and marks the first Current-Generation game for this European R&D facility. The original arcade game was released to huge acclaim in 1996 and was a fun and manic free-roaming racer featuring four styles of rally car and a unique handbrake feature for sharp turns. GTi Club+ retains the open element of the original, but has been totally reworked in every aspect. Running at 720p at 60fps, the new game has all the modes of its arcade forebear, but takes the race online, allowing up to eight people to compete simultaneously...
When a game released exclusively digitally disappears from distribution, it becomes impossible to play it legally. Actually, quite a few gems have disappeared in this manner, with the legendary P.T. being just the beginning of the story.
Nice message and physical should always be supported, but I am not supporting this article being set across like nine pages.
Konami Digital just send word out that a new car pack will be available for downloading via the PSN store tomorrow.
GTI Club Plus is good if you're a nostalgic fan of the original arcade machine. Newcomers, on the other hand, will find that the maps, modes, and features lack the depth of modern racing games. However, if you want to try a racer that does things a bit differently, GTI Club Plus is definitely worth taking a look at.
Never heard of it, a demo would be nice. I love the downloadable games, to lazy to put in the discs ;-)
