A trio of side-scrolling NES beat ’em ups are coming to the Wii U Virtual Console on February 18 in the US, which includes Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos, Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom, and Double Dragon III: The Sacred Stones. While the Ninja Gaiden titles have been previously released on both the Wii and 3DS Virtual Consoles, this is the first time Double Dragon III has been rereleased since it debuted in 1991 on the NES.
