Serena Nelson writes: "This is where The Works of Mercy takes psychological horror to the next level and one that has me slowly backing away from it not because it doesn't look like a great game but because it makes me do something I detest. In this case the game makes you the killer instead of hunting down or evading an external threat. Sure, you don't have a whole lot of a choice if you want to see your family again, but even so it's twisted and depraved and a bit too sadistic for my taste. And I'm someone who does have a pretty strong constitution to seeing things like this happen."

CG writes: Polish developer Pentacle released The Works of Mercy after some time in development. The game is available now for under a tenner on Steam or GOG. Take a look at two The Works of Mercy gameplay videos which present different approaches to the same situations. We recommended you watch the first 10 minutes of each video and then play the rest first-hand.
‘The Works of Mercy’ is a psychological thriller/horror inspired by the classics of the genre: Roman Polanski’s ‘Repulsion,’ ‘The Tenant’ and Stanley Kubrick’s ‘The Shining.’
Too many kickstarter horror games, but this one looks solid.
I can't wait for all these great horror games, but I hope all VR companies put iron clad legal warnings all over their products so people don't drop dead from fear, get phobias, etc and spoil it for the rest of us by suing etc ;). There's an allegedly good movie coming out soon called "V Vitch" I hope they make a game similar to it.
Did anybody here have ever play Phantasmagoria back in time???it was amazing!Best horror game i play ever but i do think its the kind of game that not age very well.
