Direct Feed In-Game Screenshots As HITMAN PS4 Beta Goes Live

With the Beta not going live for PC players until February 19th, today PlayStation players who pre-ordered the full HITMAN experience got an early glimpse at the first mission in the game – Prologue, which features Agent 47’s first ever meeting with his long-time handler, Diana Burnwood.

It went live a little earlier than expected but yeah it looks and plays great.

So you've tried the beta? Can you expound on how it plays? Are the character controls really smooth?

Any information would be helpful.

Sorry for the delay in response.

From what I've experienced so far in the HITMAN Beta it's a vast improvement on Absolution. Gameplay is more fluid and the character controls are smooth. Every aspect of the game feels more solid than Absolution, the AI are more responsive to Agent 47's movements and the slightest brush will gain a response.

The game appears to have lost the Cinematic Shooting as well as the ability to get past police with time.

Overall it feels more like Blood Money and that is great!

Once all parts are released, I'll get it on Steam for a big discount. I can wait and see what everyone says about it as it goes and get a final review of all the pieces of the game. I prefer whole games. I wait on Telltale games as well.

Ready to play the beta when I get home in a hr, will report

I will wait for the complete game, probably next year. No going to participate on this episodic cr$&@p, yes Im seeing you too FFVII

You do know that FF7 is a bit different, right? SE came out and clarified what they meant. They're taking the FF7 story, and they're adding a ton of new story and sidequests because they want to do more than just a remake. Each "episode" is going to be a full game on its own.

With Hitman, if they hadn't done episodes the full game would still be coming out at the end of this year. Nothing has changed there. All they're doing is giving everyone the option of playing the game early, and at a reduced price if you just want to try it out before committing to the full thing. It's sort of like Early Access, except you're getting finished, polished portions of a game as they come out instead of a full game missing features and full of bugs.

If you want to wait until the end of the year to play the same game, do that. But you'll be missing out on all the daily contracts and challenges. You lose free, extra content while not gaining anything.

Is the game 1080p or 720p? I'm just curious because it's like the only game on the PlayStation Store that is listed as 720p. I thought it was a mistake at first, but even the updated listings after the price change still say 720p.

akurtz3415d ago

the beta is full hd 1080p and the frame rate is unlocked for now.

porkChop3414d ago

Ok, thanks man. Weird that the devs would list 720p like that, makes no sense really lol.

It’s the 25th anniversary this year?

I’d have assumed it would have gotten something like a remastered trilogy of the original games or a remake of the first game. Something for a 25th celebration.

Super lacklustre
