Top five controversial video game marketing campaigns

Matt Ferguson of G4@Syfygames writes "Every once in a while the people in charge of marketing for a particular project will come up with an idea so bad it should never make it past the drawing board.

There's an even slimmer possibility that said idea will make it through the initial round of checks and head up the chain for approval, because the amusement behind the plan overshadows any long-term implications it may have.

If it makes it this far there is a microscopic chance that the marketing initiative will continue to pass by hundreds of eyes before being approved, mocked-up, and released to the general public for our own entertainment.
