Comparisons are so pointless these days with 99% of games looking exactly the same

SpaceRanger3387d ago

Lol where were you last gen. It was much worse.

I'll never forget people saying how the space suit in the 360's COD black ops 1 had a sharper American patch on it. It was much much worse in terms of people comparing games that were 99.99% the same. The Wii on the other had was a whole different story.

quenomamen3387d ago

Oooh you didn't know we're not suppose to compare games or power differences in console now ? Nooo we don't do that round here anymoe. No, comparisons only counted since the days of Sega Genesis up to PS3, 360 since it hurts peoples feelings. We should also stop comparing cars, planes, boats, TVs, food, sports teams, boxers, no more Olympics cuz somebody might get a bronze and feel bad.

....

But this gen is a bigger difference. Resolution difference first and foremost.

bleedsoe9mm3387d ago

biggest difference nobody mentioned the resolution because there were actual differences that effected gameplay and how a game looked . this gen its an incredibly minor difference .

Nivekki3387d ago

'Lol where were you last gen. It was much worse. '

No it wasn't. It was the same boring arguments about pixels. It hasn't changed.

The generation before, yeah it was different then, but fibre technology wasn't as great so two different demographics weren't as easily able to argue over pixels then.

Now it's just the same dull arguments over and over.

Anyone enjoying th game? Really want to get it.

Tedakin3387d ago

Yeah, it's not quite as fun as Ori or Limbo, very very slow, but absolutely gorgeous. Like, mind boggling to look at.

Goldby3387d ago

i get an awesome "I Spy" feel from it, like those old books where you have to find things in the pages. speaking of i spy, anyone know a custom wallpaper company, i need that on my wall

Trekster_Gamer3387d ago

It's a blast. I'm having much more fun with it than I did limbo and it every bit as good as Ori the blind forest if not better.

Exari3387d ago

from the videos it seems like a single player lpb, it doesn't look as fun as lpb tho but i could be wrong

mark_parch3387d ago

this is one of the most pointless comparisons ever lol

bf0007779663387d ago

I didn't know that phyreengine also work on the Xbox one

GrmpyolGamer 3387d ago

Why wouldn't it? Its a game engine.

PocketRave3387d ago (Edited 3387d ago )

I used the PhyreEngine at uni. One of the worst engines iv ever used. takes forever to do the simplest thing and completely un-user friendly, but saying that I have been spoiled with UE4. If someone wants to know what one looks here: http://imgur.com/zEFCoPY

DragonDDark3387d ago

Because it was locked for University uses.

PocketRave3387d ago

All the features are available on it. It was just for educational use meaning products couldn't be sold if it was made with it, the same if you have a educational edition of 3DS Max or Maya

Looking Back to 2016 and the Woolly World of Unravel

Paul writes: "For me, a very important piece of the puzzle when it comes to creating a platform game is the design of the main character. All the most successful games throughout history have a recognisable protagonist: Sonic, Mario, Crash Bandicoot, the list goes on. With the design of Yarny - the hero of the 2016 game Unravel - the designers at Coldwood Interactive smashed it out of the park."
