I would say yes. Whether you are a new fan of the series and want to see it's origins or they were your first Pokemon games then there is something there to visit or revisit. I'm really excited to rebuy them again. I'm well away they probably haven't aged well but I'm sure I will have a lot of pleasant memories about the games that I don't even knew I could remember. It will be nice for my little one to get a chance to play it as well

I got to play this game in color back in the 90's, why would I downgrade to black & white now in 2016 ?

Makes no sense.

Well considering no one is holding a gun to your head forcing you to "downgrade" then it's your right not to get it. No one said you HAVE to buy it but it's nice that these older games are getting preserved properly.

Hell yes, they should have done this years ago.

If they rerelease original gold/silver i will be buying that also.

Now just give me the Pokemon trading card game with wireless battling....and my Pokemon memories will be whole again

You would have to be crazy to keep a Pokemon game in the box after getting it as a kid, though.

I still have my Final Fantasy Adventure and Zelda: Link's Awakening, but loose. I haven't had the box in... I don't know, a couple decades?
