Phantom Dust for xbox one listed on Amazon Uk. The game had been cancelled but later Aaron Greenberg clarified that the game is no longer in active development. Finally amazon opened the pre-orders.
Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "Microsoft’s first console holds a very special in the hearts of many gamers. The ‘beast’ as it was called in some circles absolutely trounced its competitors when it came to raw power allowing near-PC level games to be playable on your TV for the first time ever. But beyond processing power the system is also to thank for pushing the standardization of online gameplay, something which today is a must have, no matter how you decide to play games. So in honor of Microsoft’s big, green tank and to maybe remind Microsoft of which games need to end up on the Xbox One store (wink, wink) we’re counting down the Top 20 Best Xbox Games."
Gamesradar: "Sometimes there’s nothing better than revisiting an Xbox old game you love. Sure, they rarely quite live up to modern standards, but they can be like a comforting digital hug thanks to the familiar surroundings and sense of nostalgia. Other times it’s just nice to treat yourself to a bit of a history lesson for a classic that you’ve missed.
After all, there are so many that deserve a second chance, perhaps all gussied up with an HD touch-up and some extra little treats. So with that in mind I recently decided to pick up Phantom Dust, since a fair few people had raved about the original and how ‘unique’ it is. I figured I’d discover something new by playing it and maybe learn a thing or two about games from that era. But all I did was leave disappointed."
The game was never more than a cult classic, gained some name recognition because of that, MS wanted to play up on that hoping for a "new" online IP while failing to invest into it creatively. That's why the remake died in development and why the remaster died soon after re-release: The original game was never "All That".
A lot of people played the OG Xbox version when it was free. Sure the games is wired and outdated, but a reboot could be a great game.
The article says what about remastering the original Fable! It was already! They should know this if they are SUPPOSED to be professional writers.

I doubt that's what the cover will look like but I personally wouldn't mind. Can't wait for this game to come. I personally believe we will see a rereveal with gameplay at either the MS event on the 28th of this month or at E3 alongside a release date. It could bring a unique single player and multiplayer experience with its gameplay so I'm very excited!
Ok let me temper my hype. This game has some of the richest and complex gameplay formuals I've ever experienced. If one thing goes wrong, ONE THING this whole entire games in shambles. Im more than excited for this game but this seems WAY to early for pre-order. MS cannot rush this game. this game needs every single detail fined tuned to perfection. I'm not over exaggerating here this game needs to be crisp. I'm trying my hardest to temper my hype here because this is my most anticipated game yet considering PD is fave game of all time.
Missed out on the original but the game looked really cool. Can't wait for the reboot.
Phantom dust is one of my most anticipated titles absolutely loved it on og xbox
I was just looking back on the old xbox one trailer and a had a few thoughts:
https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Now I know the redisegned game will be different from this old demo, however here is a few thoughts...just looking at that Vs battle. Imagine if they implemeted some crackdown style cloud based destruction. projectiles and special moves that make the buildings crumble over time during the battle in real time til there is nothing left. It would be like crack down meets one of those crazy anime cartoons meets superhero powers gone wild. It seem s like a game where story and RPG like depth is part of its mechanics (never played the original, but I watched a bit of the OG xbox footage) so its important that they stay true to what the original was, but they should certainly make use of all their tech and experience developed and gained since then, to bring the game into a modern era.
I wonder who is now developer of this game. Knowing MS they didnt spare any expense. Or maybe they have a new in house team working on it. guess we will have to wait till E3 or gamescom or whenever they are ready to show it off.
