PS Vita Exclusive Severed Is “So Close to Being Done,” Says DrinkBox Studios

I loved Mutant Blobs Attack and Guacamelee is still my favorite indie game. Hopefully this is just as good.

Well Drinkbox have found great success with the Vita before. Guacamelee sold really well

DrinkBox has a phenomenal relationship with the VITA through Guacamlee and Mutant Blobs. Plus, VITA has a 14 million install base which is more than enough to get sales. VITA isn't as dry as ppl think, it may even eclipse the original xbox 1 day in lifetime sales.

There are plenty of quality games still coming to VITA, just google it.

When the company that owns the console pulls support this is why people write off the Vita.

The plenty of games you speak of are mostly Indy stuff, some of which you can get for mobile or PC for much cheaper. The Vita was marketed as a home console experience in your hands. This is untrue.

Sony isn't dropping support, they just aren't putting out anymore 1st party AAA games bc ppl didn't buy them at the rate they wanted. Severed is coming, Zodiac, Salt & Sanctuary, Forgotten Memories + Edition. Just got Bastion, New n Tasty, Steins Gate, Skull Girls (on the way). All the Devolver Digital games still to come, VITA is very much alive.

The majority of games being indies getting dumped onto it doesn't mean it's very much alive. It's rather very much on life support. This here is a fact.

Why don't you list the all the blockbusters released on Vita this past fall and all the blockbusters coming this year. You didn't do that above, in fact I don't see any fall releases from 2015 in your post.

I could name dozens of solid games coming to VITA. It's very much alive, especially in Japan and for 3rd party devs.

The Vita's on life support dude. Most of those games are on PS3, PS4, PC, iOS, etc. The Vita needs AAA exclusives and that's not what it's getting. The sales are abysmal everywhere outside of Japan for a reason.

List all the console quality games coming this year. List the ones that dropped in the fall. Compare that to any other console which is considered healthy. There's your answer.

Lifetime VITA sales will be similar to the Gamecube and original xbox. VITA has outsold the Wii u, Sega Gamegear, Saturn, Dreamcast, TurboGrafx-16, and others. It's already sold about half what the extremely successful Sega Genesis sold. It's likely to outsell Dreamcast and Saturn combined in lifetime sales.

The PSP was a brilliant success, the VITA probably won't sell 1/3 of what the PSP sold, but it's not the failure you make it out to be. It's about as successful as the Gamecube. I blame North America mostly. VITA sells well in Japan, decent in Europe, and non existent in North America. If the VITA sold as well in NA as it did Japan it would be just fine.

The last recorded week on VGchartz the VITA sold 74k. Of the 74k it sold 34k in Japan, 21k in EU, and 3k in NA. This is why Europe got a physical copy of Ratchet and Clank and NA did not. Can u blame Sony for not putting western AAAs like AC Liberation, Uncharted GA, and KZ Mercenary on the VITA anymore? Tbh, VITA has found a comfortable niche with RPGs and quality 3rd party games. The sales numbers are actually going up, over 74k in 1 wk is impressive.

If it's DrinkBox it should be high quality, Guacamlee is terrific. I play my VITA all the time, i'm currently playing the Ratchet and Clank Collection on VITA in anticipation of the new game.
