Square Enix has just revealed that Final Fantasy IX, releasing on PC sometime in early 2016, will have a host of new features that didn’t grace the original PlayStation 1 version in 2000.
If only they had done this with FF VI.
The "booster" thing is weird. Are they worried that a younger audience won't want to deal with the grinding aspect of the game? I think they ironed it all out pretty well in FF9, especially w/ the Tactics Advance-esque learning abilities via equipment. Grinds aren't that long of a thing, and they're fun due to the changes in appearance with each weapon and the ability acquisition. Hmm.
