A PS3 remaster of a PSP Mini makes its way to Steam with surprisingly few changes. However, whether or not that is a bad thing remains to be seen.
Years ago, Qix was a neat puzzle game. You were on a 2D level where you had to cut out the environment while avoiding enemies. Then, years later Cubixx was released as a PSP Mini, a title that could be played on both the PSP and PS3. Cubixx was so successful that the developers were able to remake the title on the PS3 as Cubixx HD. Now, the title has been ported to Steam and it mostly holds up, but players may find the release somewhat unneeded.
Defunct Games reviews Cubixx HD, out this week on Steam. This is a fun update to the Taito arcade classic Qix. Originally released on PSP in 2010, Cubixx HD finally brings the fun to Steam.

"The PlayStation 3 has its own particular flavor of multiplayer games. First-party experiences tend to focus on family-friendly entertainment, while downloadables on the platform like to experiment with various concepts. Sometimes a developer even takes advantage of the system’s 7-controller support! (Just not that often.) Here’s the cream of the crop on the system, including some that should work for any group."
Interesting list... stays away from obvious shooters and the like. SingStar and Fat Princess are great multiplayer games too.
