It has been two years since the original release of Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky launched on the Playstation 3 and it was an improvement on the Atelier series. It had great graphics, a fun story, and new gameplay mechanics. In Atelier Escha & Logy Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky for the Playstation Vita and PSTV, the developers decided to include all the DLC from the PS3 version, a new playable character, and more content.
The Mako Reactor says: “Everything you need to know about getting into the Atelier franchise from best place to start to every new release covered on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.”
Excellent article! This franchise is amazing I started around the Vita games and have been playing since. But for the newer releases I have lagged behind in purchasing due to my backlog. This great comprehensive article got my bearings straight thanks!
I always hear good stuff about the Atelier series, but with so many games I didn't feel like actually researching. So this article was a good read, and I may buy Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book in the near future.
Atelier Ryaza is looking like it’s going to be the breakout game for the franchise.
The PlayStation Vita still has some games in it, let's get that out of the way from outset. The release schedule isn't massive, but there's a steady trickle of releases that should keep us going through the console's twilight.
for my list it's
Persona 4 Golden
NFS Most Wanted 12
Soul Sacrifice
Dynasty Warriors Next
Muramasa Rebirth
Terraria
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
Metal Gear Solid 2
Gravity Rush
Ninja Gaiden Σ Plus
A totally decent list. I could add A LOT to it. How about the 2 EDF games? EDF 2017 Portable and EDF 2 Invaders From Planet Space?
Killzone mercenary, uncharted golden abyss, gravity rush, and resistance burning skies were my favs. So sad the vita wasn't more successful it had so much potential
Atelier Escha and Logy Plus: Alchemists of the Dark Sky is a rather sedate if no less meaty role-playing game that was originally released in Europe on PlayStation 3 back in 2014. It may be the second part of a trilogy but in true JRPG fashion, the game chooses to simply carry on the themes and style of the first game rather than opting for an all out sequel. Offering a calmer, more elegant tone than the apocalyptic Final Fantasy saga, it breaks the mould by offering up some intriguing gameplay additions to an otherwise formulaic genre. Ported to PS Vita, this version offers some additional characters, enemies and missions to provide an overall definitive version of the game.
