Star Wars Battlefront 3 Leak Indicates Game Had Over 25 Maps In Development

Right now as I type an alpha build for Star Wars Battlefront 3 has been leaked.

This is a huge number of maps when compared to the amount of playable maps in the newest release of Star Wars Battlefront. Below you can find a list of each map that is available in the alpha build.

Haha just wow, its a shame we got ea's version instead of this....

DarkOcelet3405d ago (Edited 3405d ago )

I am not sure who is to blame.

LucasArt for their stupid decision not to market this game. Or EA for making that Piece Of Overpriced crap game we got.

And after those plus 10 million sales that EA's Battlefront enjoyed. We will keep getting $hitty games with overpriced DLC.

TwoForce3405d ago (Edited 3405d ago )

This is why i hate EA so much from beginning. They are the one of the company that screw up to consumers more than other. Also, we blame them both.

OpieWinston3405d ago

I just want Bots and Instant Action!

Seems like I'm asking DICE for the world. I don't want Battlefront to continue being a Battlefield reskin.

We want Bots and Space Battles/Galactic Conquest!

_-EDMIX-_3405d ago

You mean Lucas Arts...the team that got the last game cancelled....Ummmmmm sure.

Those 10 million sales sorta show are showing you that clearly someone doesn't agree with you by the tune of 10 million.

DLConspiracy3405d ago (Edited 3405d ago )

I thought sales equated to quality in the consumer market. Thats what people keep telling me on here. I'm confused.

BUT seriously would have loved all the extra maps.

Pl4sm43404d ago

pandemic for making the okay at best mercenaries 2 and the nothing special saboteur game... bankrupting them

kaizokuspy3404d ago

I believe that those 10 million sales mean crap. I bought it knowingly it was crap, just to play with friends in that universe. Still hate the game, but love being in the same game as my friends. Common gamer problems. Sl.etimes a change of game, doesn't matter the quality, is still fun as long as we have our friends and are doing dumb things together. Hell, I'd download a super mario clone that forced one of us as direction only and the other as input for jump and sprint. Gamers are fickle, weird, and unpredictable

mcstorm3404d ago

I agree about the dlc map packs I think when I worked it out it cost me close to £95 for BF4 with the dlc as I got it all digital. The game was also a mess to. The one thing I wild say is they are still supporting the game today and still has good numbers so fingers crossed battlefront stays the same for the players to

alvgamin4lif3404d ago

@_-EDMIX-_
You seem to think that larger units sold always equal to better quality. There are other factors to consider as well and in this case the biggest of them all is branding. Also by "$hitty" I'm pretty sure DarkOcelot meant that this game is like a step back, has less content and costs a lot.

ThanatosDMC3404d ago

Author needs to fix title. It's "Battlefront EA" not Battlefront 3.

_-EDMIX-_3404d ago

@alvgamin4lif - Not really.

But of a production value stand point, Star Wars Battlefront is currently one of the best made in the series.

When SWBF1 and SWBF2 released, they where not the best in there genre in terms of quality, not in terms of Halo 2, Doom 3, Half Life 2, RE4 etc.

Star Wars BF last year was one of the top games imho in terms of over all quality of production.

Though I feel it could have easily had more content, I felt the quality of the content they did have was superb.

If its bad, the market will respond.

Consider LESS people bought AC this year then last year, Unity had that effect on AC fans.

I'm not saying units equal quality, but to a degree the market will respond to better quality then lessor.

Clearly it was good enough to be bought at 10 million units, after millions played its beta.

Could have been better, but if it was of bad quality, the market sorta responds accordingly.

I'm having fun with this one though...

AizenSosuke3406d ago

Just wow, this is the best version that fans should of deserved.

Ace Killa 083405d ago

So a picture of a menu and word that the game needs a modified 360 to play it sound complete BS to me. And somehow the same build would work on a PC?? Even more BS

rdgneoz33405d ago

"we at Game Rampage do not support illegally downloading games"

If articles that just had a picture or 2 and a few comments about a game were all BS, there would be a lot less articles on N4G. They're not linking the game since they don't support illegal downloads of games.

"There is a small chance this release for Xbox 360 will finally end up on PC if it ends up in the right hands"
They said small chance it could work, not that it will. Also, the 360 was always similar to PC in architecture (it is from MS...), which is why it was so easy to make / port games to the 360 compared to the PS3.

Nodoze3404d ago

Xbox 360 is RIsc based. Not the same as PC. Would need changes to make things run.

Austin483405d ago

I'm mainly mad because they took out a campaign.

WellyUK3405d ago

never had one to begin with...

rdgneoz33405d ago

Because they were lazy and knew Star Wars fans would buy it without one. Also, the previous games in the series had campaigns...

"Whereas Star Wars: Battlefront's campaign featured missions dependent on the chosen faction, Battlefront II contains only one campaign, called Rise of the Empire, which is found in every version of the game except the PSP.[6] This set of missions is presented as the narration of a veteran of the 501st Legion, known as Vader's Fist, beginning with an attack on the planet Mygeeto during the Clone Wars and ending with the assault on Hoth as depicted in The Empire Strikes Back.[7] There are a total of 18 missions, four of which are optional space missions."

WellyUK3405d ago

If you class a campaign as MP map against bots... Not a campaign to me.

_-EDMIX-_3405d ago

Series never had one and believe me....I don't think you should be "mad" that you missed out on a DICE campaign.

jb2273404d ago

I'm not mad at the lack of the campaign, it just means that this particular game is not for me. At least EA was upfront about the lack of one this time & didn't try to pass off the bot matches as a "campaign" like Titanfall did & like it seems The Division may do as well.

I would love to see an so campaign w/ the frostbite engine though, any word on if Visceral's title will use it? I personally loved the look & art direction of Dead Space so I'm sure it'll look stunning either way, the only thing that worries me about it is the rumors that it'll be yet another open world rpg when Hennig & Visceral have both proven that their strengths lie in more linear narrative driven titles. If they wanna put out an rpg, they should let Bioware tackle that & let Visceral do the more story focused stuff, that way there will be something on the market for all gamers. Just afraid us sp gamers that like the more action adventure feel may get left out in the cold as that seems to be happening more & more often so far this gen.

_-EDMIX-_3404d ago

" any word on if Visceral's title will use it?"

Nothing confirmed, but extremely likely.

", the only thing that worries me about it is the rumors that it'll be yet another open world rpg when Hennig & Visceral have both proven that their strengths lie in more linear narrative driven titles"

That I feel is unlikely consider Bioware is confirmed to be one of the teams currently making a Star Wars game.

Its like going to be an RPG and I don't see EA making 2 Star Wars RPGs.

" Just afraid us sp gamers that like the more action adventure feel may get left out in the cold as that seems to be happening more & more often so far this gen."

I actually don't feel that way and I would say more examples point towards just the opposite.

Star Wars Battlefront never really had a SP in terms of a proper on, DICE has always had MP focused titles and last gen we still got titles that were more MP focused titles along with single player games.

MAG, Warhawk, Left 4 Dead series, Counter Strike etc.

Truly look at the MP only genre and really count them out....they do not outnumber single player only titles even slightly.

They were NEVER going to be single player only titles in the first place.

Sony didn't stop some team from making some Metal Gear like game to make Socom.

Valve didn't stop the next Resident Evil type title to have them make Left 4 Dead,

Trust me when I say not much was going to really come from a SP in Battlefront. The team doesn't have much of a history of doing such a thing and most teams that have MP only titles, have had histories of making only MP only titles.

Its a harder concept to be successful in and MOST games are not online only or MP only etc. Most are actually single player. Consider again the difficulty of making a MP only title, consider the cost, consider most developers just don't have the cost to even make such titles in terms of the massive networking talent required.

Don't fear a MP only title, as if it was ever going to be a SP only focused title in the first place.

Its more likely it was never going to be that, but we have way more to look foward to on the SP only front, then I feel MP only gamers do.

Look at this year, FFXV, Horizon Zero Dawn, Far Cry Primal, Gravity Rush 2, and so much more I can't even list the rest.

crazychris41243405d ago (Edited 3405d ago )

Yea but Battlefront has the better graphics. Thats what matters. Who cares if the cancelled game has more than 5x the content with 25 multiplayer maps, campaign, space battles, more factions and higher player counts.

/s

antz11043404d ago

Yes, a cancelled game had a good idea whereas the current game actually was produced and people like it.

Such a tragedy /s
