Review: Atelier Escha & Logy Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky | Digitally Downloaded

Digitally Downloaded writes: "Plus, Escha is adorable. And you can’t exactly say no to her, because that would hurt her feelings. So do yourself (and her) a favour, and go grab it for your Vita now."

Glad I pre-ordered the Limited Edition. I won't get it til March though since I bundled it with Stranger of Sword City Limited Edition for free shipping.

Excellent article! This franchise is amazing I started around the Vita games and have been playing since. But for the newer releases I have lagged behind in purchasing due to my backlog. This great comprehensive article got my bearings straight thanks!

Nerdmaster2036d ago

I always hear good stuff about the Atelier series, but with so many games I didn't feel like actually researching. So this article was a good read, and I may buy Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book in the near future.

Atelier Ryaza is looking like it’s going to be the breakout game for the franchise.

The Friday Ten: The ten best PlayStation Vita games

The PlayStation Vita still has some games in it, let's get that out of the way from outset. The release schedule isn't massive, but there's a steady trickle of releases that should keep us going through the console's twilight.

No tearaway or killzone mercenary?

Kallisti3256d ago

Did the Vita ever get a game that looked better than Killzone? That game looked so good for a handheld game.

Darkwatchman3256d ago

Nope. Still most technically impressive vita title ever.

Deadpooled3255d ago

Probably the best fps on a handheld ever, actual effort from the developers Guerilla Cambridge compared to the shoddy devs who did those resistance and cod games.

Blastoise3256d ago

Needs more Soul Sacrifice Delta

Deadpooled3255d ago

I remember the limited edition psvita soul sacrifice versions (red one) which looked stunningly beautiful.

Kal-V33254d ago

I am a proud owner of one and it is awesome.

ONESHOTV23256d ago

for my list it's

Persona 4 Golden
NFS Most Wanted 12
Soul Sacrifice
Dynasty Warriors Next
Muramasa Rebirth
Terraria
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
Metal Gear Solid 2
Gravity Rush
Ninja Gaiden Σ Plus

StanleyRoper3256d ago

A totally decent list. I could add A LOT to it. How about the 2 EDF games? EDF 2017 Portable and EDF 2 Invaders From Planet Space?

Skankinruby3256d ago

Killzone mercenary, uncharted golden abyss, gravity rush, and resistance burning skies were my favs. So sad the vita wasn't more successful it had so much potential

Darkwatchman3256d ago

The only one you listed that I consider "best of the system" material is Killzone. Gravity Rush and Uncharted were Eh, but Resistance Burning Skies was decent. I did not like the single player. That portion of the game felt very underdeveloped, but the multiplayer for a time until Killzone came out was probably the best handheld shooter online expeience you could ever have. Tons of dumb fun

Atelier Escha & Logy Plus Review | Reviews 2 Go

Reviews 2 Go just finished up their play of the PS Vita's newest Atelier. Here are their final thoughts:

"Atelier Escha & Logy Plus is the most user-friendly Atelier game to date. While the frame-rate still struggles in areas and there is still incomplete English voice-work, the system is improving and it’s definitely a worthy adventure for both Atelier and JRPG fans."
