I was lucky enough to grow up with parents who had a penchant for classic films, and B-humor. Hell, their first date was Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and as a child, I was raised with an endearment to the craft, whether it was through direct viewings or being introduced to them by way of Mystery Science Theater 3000. A lot of people dismiss B-movies outright though which is a shame, since many of them have influenced the industry in countless ways, most notably the use of practical effects.
The Deadly Tower of Monsters from ACE Team manages to channel most of that silliness in a way without sacrificing gameplay, but the experience is fleeting.
