In an era where local multiplayer games are harder and harder to find, Starwhal is a great love letter to those of us who used to spend countless hours playing games such as Madden, Mario Kart, GoldenEye or Tekken with our buddies.
Unusual, though? Absolutely. You are after all, controlling narwhals. In space.

Double XP highlight a few great games to play as a couple.
Glad to see Borderlands on there! Those are me and the wife's favorite games to co-op.
Honorable mention:
Until Dawn
Although it's not a coop game, it is still a nice game that can be played with a partner or even a friend or family member. I played this game with my oldest niece and she quite enjoyed the experience.
Overcooked is a great game if you want to yell at your girlfriend like Gordon Ramsey
Neil writes "Admit it, you’ve always wanted to play as an afro topped space narwhal decked with a pink tutu and light saber for a nose.
You haven’t? You haven’t lived!"
The review seems fair. The game is fun for a while as a multiplayer game but it doesn't really have much longevity beyond a quick blast with your friends here and there. Single player seemed really shallow to me, only played it for about 10mins before. Bottom line, it's not bad but there's plenty of better local multiplayer games out there.
