Perhaps the biggest year for RPGs for quite a while, 2015 had more than a few top picks. At the beginning of the year, there were a few games that we of course knew about, but others were first officially announced at E3 with a surprise release of this year. It’s not every day that games from any of these franchises come out, let alone indie efforts such as Undertale.

That is a super great idea, I would 1000% pay full price for this! Only if Miyazaki directed, obviuosly. Bloodborne hooked me in a way Dark Souls never did.

Every time I read a list for "RPG of the Year" the first thing I look for is to see if Xenoblade Chronicles X was even mentioned. If you're making an RPG of the Year list and fail to even acknowledge this game, you basically lose your credibility on the spot.
