Tom from GamersFTW writes: "Well, that suddenly picked up pace, didn’t it? We give our thoughts on the why the exciting news that Hideo Kojima’s new studio are initially developing exclusively for the PlayStation 4 will suit both parties. We also ponder on what we hope to see from Kojima Productions' first new IP."
Hideo Kojima and PlayStation go together like hobbits and breakfasts. That is to say, they're meant to be together, but they're also happy to serve up a PC port or afternoon tea if the time is right. Kojima's long-time collaboration with Sony means it always feels odd to see his name next to an Xbox logo, like Master Chief appearing on your PS5 or glimpsing your teacher in the big Tesco doing her weekly shop.
yawn. ^ All of this opinion piece sounds like someone’s recount when they get out of the norm and go on a hiking vacation and boast about their “life changing moments” over things extremely common and accessible to everyone. Get a rocket ship and take some selfies already. jezzus .
If you missed out on old games it’s nothing to apologize for. Just the way life goes sometimes. We can’t access everything in our short lives.
Luckily, everyone seems to like Death Stranding 2
I’m replaying the first game it’s great. It’s not for everyone no doubt. There are still a lot of people playing it.
Then why do a sequel straight away?
Why not something else like maybe a horror game similar to Silent Hills but rebranded into a new IP.
How world affairs shaped the core theme around ‘connection’ in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
Really interested to see what is going to happen here. I'm a big fan of Kojima, and think it's high time that he made this move. Fingers crossed that we'll finally get our Kojima and Junji Ito collaboration.
Hopefully he rekindles his relationship with Norman Reed us and Guillermo Del Toro! Now he has the creative freedom he's always needed :D
You bet. Sony's budget + Kojima's talent... this is the true ending of MGSV
I think the collaboration between the two was there since Ps1 days.
But now, they've just made it official.
Here's hoping that Konami continues its trend of making stupid decisions and sells off the Mgs franchise so Kojima can buy what rightfully belongs to him.
The possibilities are staggering, Kojima must be doing back-flips over this, I personally want a Snatcher/Bladerunner style game.
