Making a game while recovering from cancer

Sam Coster writes:

"Two years ago, at the age of 23, I was diagnosed with Stage 4b Lymphoma, cancer of the lymph system. There is no Stage 5, or even 4c; 4b is the last."

Man, this story made me tear up a little bit. What a heartbreaking, yet inspiring story. Thanks for sharing.

Best wishes on the launch of your game and that your cancer remains in remission! You are freakin' strong.

Crashlands Review | TheXboxHub

Paul writes: "Crashlands by Butterscotch Shenanigans is one of those rare games where a whole stack of ideas has been thrown into the mix, yet the result is a beautiful blend rather than a stodgy mess. The story isn't the strongest, but the wish to see what Flux can build next, the need to gear up to beat a boss, the exploring, and the taming of creatures all just works."

Epic still trying to buy their way onto people's computers.
I just find it funny that there's people out there who literally only grab the free games, and have no intention of purchasing off their lackluster store.

Yeah this is their marketing tactic to get more people

MadLad1885d ago (Edited 1885d ago )

And the funny thing is, if this tactic works, and they get a major foothold in the market, all this "we're pro developer/consumer" bs is going to end.
I'm 100% convinced that gracious dev split will start to lower, and the free games will largely go away.

They have F.U (fortnite) money right now, and they're happy to dump it into this store, in the hopes they can strong arm the PC storefront market; making that much more in the future.

Giving free game? What a terrible company. Man, even stores have fanboys now.

MadLad1885d ago (Edited 1885d ago )

I also explained why they do it, and why it would likely go if they become popular.
You just addressed one singular thing I made a point of though.

I've gotten some excellent games from epic I'm happy to get humble bundles etc to redeem on steam but won't make any steam purchases unless there's no choice like mcc halo.

I've transferred my dcs stuff over to standalone won't be giving them 30% rather it goes to devs.
