Hmm, I think I need more information from Square Enix before I can really have a full opinion on this. All the same, I am excited for the remake in general.
As long as we don't know many more details this question can't be answered I believe.
- How big will each game or episode be?
- Will new story details be added?
- Will Crisis Core as example be a part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake?
- Will decisions by the player change the story (yay lets save Aerith or not recruit Yuffie at all) and will these decisions change the story in the following episodes?
Sorry but I don't see the sense in asking the article headline question before these questions are answered. How a couple of bloggers on big gaming sites reacted overly negative to the announcement was quite damaging for themselfes and these websites I think. After reading some of these articles I got the impression that they wrote what they wrote them for popularity and clicks.

Yes
Lets stop trying to sugar coat it because we've been for the game for so long
All we wanted was a simple remake of the original and now they are doing this, this and that with it...trying to over complicate it.
I dont understand? If cyber is working on it why are they doing parts. I wont buy it till a compete edition comes out
