Final Fantasy VII Remake Characters Compared to Their Original Models

Sony and Square Enix gave many fans exactly what they wanted during the PlayStation Experience stage presentation, showing off brand new footage from the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake. The segments shown all appear to take place in the first hour of gameplay, with heavy focus on the introductory bombing mission. This would be Cloud Strife’s first outing with the group known as AVALANCHE, and where the player is introduced to the organization’s members Barret, Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie.

So just how do their PlayStation 4 Remake looks compare to the original character art and PlayStation 1-era graphics?

I think it would've been more exciting if we had never seen cloud in a game after 7 until now. But only a few years later we saw him in kingdom hearts voiced and everything so it kind of takes away from seeing the leap in models.

I can totally agree with your comment regarding Cloud. However, it is incredibly satisfying to see smaller characters like the AVALANCHE crew in glorious HD. Plus the environments, plus the enemies (Guard Scorpion, WUDDUP), plus everything else. We've all seen Cloud in HD before; he's not why this remake is exciting. It's literally nearly everything else.

Amen to that. My inner 1990s child never thought I'd see the AVALANCHE crew in these sort of graphics!

I soooo wanna see some gameplay with safe sephiroth or where cloud dresses up like a girl in full HD that be a glorious moment. Expecially when they use materia. I believe every1 atm is to concerned about the battle system. If it's like final fantasy XV or could it be an upgraded battle system to final fantasy 13 as I did see the battle commands on the video.

I'm stupid stoked for Remake however... this voice actor for cloud does a pretty poor job at portraying him. I mean come on he sounds like another typical jrpg character I've heard for years. He should either re work himself with a slightly deeper tone or just replace him all together. They really need a strong voice cast to pull this game off perfectly or else everyone is going to complain about not having the Japanese voices with subtitles which I would prefer if this remains.

Cloud looks pretty much the same like in AC. Also, AC took place 2 years after 7.

No I can see a huge difference honestly. It's amazing really that they were able to make them look like an exact blending of Nomura's art style from the originals and realism. It's works so well.

That's my point. The graphical quality actually matches the CGI movie to a degree. The original game looks like lwgo people.

I don't like the look of cloud face in the trailer.

They should make him look like Advent Childre movie .

Maybe they should have as AC was set after 7 and the screens seem to make him look older than in AC.
