Devil's Third is an anomaly. Originally announced by THQ for PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2011, the rights to the action IP were returned to developer Valhalla Game Studios when THQ closed in 2013. Nintendo picked up the publishing rights shortly after, solidifying Devil's Third as a Wii U exclusive, and after its re-reveal at E3 2014 there appeared to be some optimistic hype behind Tomonobu Itagaki's hack-and-slash shooter. But while American Wii U owners are still awaiting Devil's Third's release, the rest of the world has had access to it for months -- and the feedback has been far from positive.
CEMU 1.11.2 is now available to Patreon members. Below you can find Pokken Tournament, Hyrule Warriors and Devil's Third running on the PC thanks to CEMU.
Nintendo has officially taken down the servers for Wii U shooter Devil's Third developed by Valhalla Game Studios.
and this is why we should not support nintendo any more
they done it with the wii and they killed the ds off for no reason.
total bad for business
Wait why are peopole acting like they care now? You didn't when it was released.
I don't think Itagaki is crazy for making a Wii U exclusive.
I think he's crazy for pushing out a half baked, flawed as all hell, generic gore fest on the Wii U without making use of any of the console's specific features, and throwing his toys out of the pram when people criticise it.
Tomonobu Itagaki, outspoken former leader of Tecmo's Team Ninja and current leader of Valhalla Game Studios, has spent the last eight years of his life working on the action game Devil's Third.
Its what was to be expected from the Itagaki guy. He was very overrated and praised a lot for the older Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden games while he was just the producer which
- just like in the case of other popular game producers like Hideo Kojima or Ed Boon - does not mean that they are responsible above everyone else if a game is great.
Devil's Third is the product of a fluke, through and through.
It was doomed the day the first reviews came out. To be honest, it looked fairly generic either way.
It depends the way we see it. Nintendo literally avoided this game and try to hide it from e3 all they way to the release date. Why did they even bother picking it up?
Devil's Third has a lower Metascore than Sonic '06. That alone should speak for itself
It's not destined..it is a failure.
