Global Game Awards Winners for 2015 Announced

Here is full list of all winners in their respective categories. The Wither 3 won the Game of the Year 2015 Award which should not come as a surprise.

I can understand Witcher 3 winning GOTY.
It's too popular not to, and awards like this always come down to popularity contests.
But I can't agree with it winning a spot in the best innovator category.
It's not really doing a huge amount of things that other RPG's have not done before, so while it's an excellent RPG, I don't feel it's innovative. ( equips Flame Shield Omega E.X., and a Goron Tunic for good measure.)

You might be correct but The Witcher 3 was still better than other nominees. Do you have any other game in mind that you think should have won this? I don't.

Splatoon did more new things for its genre than Witcher did, honestly speaking.

Would not take these awards too seriously, I mean they have the Nvidia shied above the wii u in best console.. who the hell owns a shield? I have never met a single person. Ps4 is number one and won zero awards

This is primarily a PC focused site, so technologically speaking the NVIDIA Shield is a better console than Wii U from their standpoint while also costing less.

The place Nintendo wins is Native games running on the platform.

Shield Console is pretty much the exact opposite of Wii U in that it has access to 3rd party games and content, with little exclusive content outside of Android console game knock-off specifically designed for it (which shockingly a good amount of them are actually decent clones).

Then you add streaming of your PC games to the Shield, Tegra Store, app store, and GeForce Now (Buy games to stream to the console, get the full PC version download free) and the Shield Console is significantly more technologically advanced than Wii U as far as hardware goes.

Game quality is another story which is why Wii U games charted.

As far as PS4 goes Rocket League won best Indie, Until Dawn won Best Horror, and many of the top charters like The Witcher, Fallout 4, Metal Gear, GTA (though 2014 on PS4), and Batman are all on PS4 and XBO, none of which are on Wii U. And Bloodborne a PS4 exclusive was the only console exclusive to chart on the GOTY 2015 awards for this PC website.

Bloodborne lost all chance of winning when Dark souls 3 was announced, now Bloodborne seems like a filler game(it wasnt but that is not the point) critics will see it as not worthy.

No mention for Halo 5 in the shooter catagory and Battlefront wins. Im not a halo fanboy but thought the multiplayer was very fine tuned. Lost a little respect with that one

How the heck are going to have Nintendo in your best publisher but don't even have their games nominated much.

Because there weren't many choices for Best Publisher this year. Splatoon and Mario Maker were their stand out games (Xenoblade was last year in JP / too late to include), both of which were charting on a PC focused website.
