Since the dawn of time Heaven and Hell have been at war, with neither side gaining a real advantage over the other. Thus a mediator group named “The Charred Council”, arose to maintain order and balance to these two warring sides, they created a warrior brotherhood, the Four Horseman of the apocalypse (War, Death, Strife and Fury) to intervene and enforce their laws where and when necessary. Amidst the chaos and conflict, humanity emerged. Foreseeing that humans would play an integral role in the balance’s stability, the council declared them the third kingdom, the “Kingdom of man”. The council brokered a deal with Heaven and Hell: the Seven Seals where created to be broken when the Kingdom of Man was ready for the Endwar.
