This morning I (Robin Ek, The Gaming Ground) was contacted by the audioboom team. Long story short, Nolan North shared his thoughts on "The Last of Us 2" via the MCM Comic Con site just recently ("North talks about where he thinks The Last of Us will go if the game gets a sequel). It ain´t much, but at least it´s something.
The development of the The Last of Us Part II PC port has been complete since November 2023, according to a reliable insider
Your right as soon as the hype wheel is ready for that show there going to drop it on pc.
But the real question is will this pc port be able to run 1080p on a 4090 as the last naughty dog pc port they helped make it was a dumpster fire.
Like i said before the current naughty dog team is just a glorified port studio but even then they have a hard time actually doing it right.

Just porting Uncharted 4 and 4.5 to PC was not the best idea.
Original Uncharted trilogy is my fav of the series. That is a worthy port to PC not 4 imo
No doubt they need more help as the og's left the building so the uncharted 1-3 port would take actual skill/knowledge along with the source code/audio files/voice files.

for everytime you say that, the library of PS games on PC grows bigger. This year, Helldivers 2, Horizon Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima, GOW Ragnarok has a release date for this year and now TLOU2? Hmm.

Amy Hennig got messed around working on projects that got cancelled by the publishers (EA) and then ended up on a awful game (Forspoken) where you had 4 other writers working on it which is just a recipe for disaster. She is now working on Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. Not her fault she was pushed out of NaughtyDog, something both Nolan North and Richard McGonagle have both said in interviews.
Bruce Straley left after burn out, the rest of the story we don't know and will never know just like what happened with Amy Hennig. He decided to take a break and wasn't sure if he wanted to come back to gaming however he had an idea he wanted to make so he founded Wildflower Interactive, a smaller studio where they are currently working on a new game.

You know what I find interesting? Almost every site reporting this as the main title where the REAL interesting bit of the interview is Neil praising AI and saying it will be used to help push story, characters, dialogue and more.
It’s super shitty to big up AI especially when it comes to story telling and other creative elements.
Just because someone says this type of stuff, it doesn't mean that it's guaranteed to be good news.

I have a great idea for TLoU 2's MP. I always thought your clan members would be good to be sent for virtual missions. Similar to MGS5's combat deployment feature. So in TLoU 2's mp you grow your clan and you can also send them to scavenging hunts. Spoils they collect may aid you in the main PvP mode.
