"The best part of Starwhal’s multiplayer are its controls. Starwhal perfectly accomplishes the weight and gravity of being a space narwhal flying around in a galactic arena. The controls involve just the left stick to awkwardly move and the A/B button to vigorously accelerate (you may also taunt with X/Y), and are wonderfully hindering to the player, with the urgent attempt to pierce your opponents hearts becoming more and more hilarious as the narwhals flounder around each other."
Andrew M writes: "Looking for a game that has the same frantic, competitive atmosphere of Killer Queen Black? Here are seven games you might enjoy!"
Double XP highlight a few great games to play as a couple.
Glad to see Borderlands on there! Those are me and the wife's favorite games to co-op.
Honorable mention:
Until Dawn
Although it's not a coop game, it is still a nice game that can be played with a partner or even a friend or family member. I played this game with my oldest niece and she quite enjoyed the experience.
Overcooked is a great game if you want to yell at your girlfriend like Gordon Ramsey
DD:
In an era where local multiplayer games are harder and harder to find, Starwhal is a great love letter to those of us who used to spend countless hours playing games such as Madden, Mario Kart, GoldenEye or Tekken with our buddies.
Unusual, though? Absolutely. You are after all, controlling narwhals. In space.
