Despite a historical reputation for theft, murder, and general misbehavior, pirates continue to hold a place of whimsy and good-natured silliness in our collective consciousness. Think “National Talk like a Pirate Day,” me hearties. Because of this, a pirate RPG has almost no choice but to be corny. Instead of avoiding it, Swords and Crossbones fully embraces it, and the result is delightful.
