"At a first glance, Freedom Planet seems like a Sonic game, which at one point it actually was. Originally developed to be a Sonic fan-game, GalaxyTrail instead decided to take things in their own direction and crafted a brilliant new I.P. Ultimately, this paid out quite well for the folks at GalaxyTrail, as Freedom Planet is one of the most enjoyable 2D platformers I’ve played recently."
