Spooky season is here again at last and time of the horror game has arrived alongside it. This year has seen the return of some the genre's greatest entires, but both tended to focus more on thrills than they did chills. So, those wanting a bit more of the latter this month would do well to check out at least one of these before Halloween rolls around.
If a sci-fi horror point-n-click isometric survival adventure game sounds good to you, you will not be disappointed by what Statis has in store for you.
In Sheltered: Stasis you must find a way to leave your hostile home planet behind you by building and launching a rocket.
It sounds like this game builds up a really good atmosphere for the players, creepy but not full of over the top jumpscares. An interesting looking game.
Definitely going to look into playing this, sounds like it's gotten the writing and atmosphere right - something that a lot of horror games are struggling with. I agree with comments on Until Dawn, although impressive and enjoyable I felt like the reliance on jump scares and quick time events to build pressure and fear was a little lazy.
Wow, Bischoff's style just oozes atmosphere. Really makes me want to play some isometric games, like Little Big Adventure, or Fallout 2.
Really like the look of this
