Resident Evil 0 is a Pleasing Mix of Old and New | VGChartz Preview

VGChartz's Chris Matulich: "Much like the GameCube Resident Evil HD re-release, Resident Evil 0 looks better than ever. Though purists may find the game much easier than they remember and wish for if using the new control system, RE0 will be available to a brand new generation of gamers that may have never used (or possibly even heard of!) a GameCube before. Be sure to get ready for the onslaught of RE games beginning with Resident Evil 0 this coming January for Windows PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One."

"Capcom's demo of RE0 is based right at the start of the game, where Rachel finds herself on a train surrounded by dead people. "

You mean Rebecca right?

"That said, the main characters, Rachel and Billy, definitely look much better than most of the supporting cast and the zombie horde which is pursuing them. "

Are you sure her name is not Rebecca?

Gaming journalists are lazy to even pretend that they played the games.

Not all of them of course.

Kurisu3117d ago

Still need to complete REmake before this! Can't remember where I am it's been so long since I played it.

Imortus_san3117d ago

Yup another Capcom lazy port without 16:9 support, the game just zooms in, wtf bullshit in Capcom now a days.

Looking Back to 2016 with the Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster - Origins of Evil

Darren writes: "I view Resident Evil Zero and the 2016 Remaster as a bit of an oddity in the series, the black sheep if you will. It tried something a bit different, and in the end did so with limited success."

everything about the game is great except for the inventory system. You literally spend half the game managing your inventory. And You have to leave your stuff like on the floor and remember where you put it. It's nothing like the inventory in any other resident Evil game It's cumbersome and highly annoying.
If you can get past that it's a cool game with gorgeous graphics

NapalmSanctuary1193d ago

yeah, the inventory system just destroys the game's flow. Especially on the first playthrough where you don't know what you're going to need to keep close by in any given area.

AriesBear1192d ago

It's all trial and error but pushed to the limit. That's literally the only thing that holds the game back. But damn it is beautiful.
