Whispering Willows Review | 8WN
"If you are familiar with the Metroidvania genre, much of Whispering Willows will come naturally to you. Many times you’ll see a locked door and to progress you’ll need a key or item you find later in the game. This keeps you familiar with the environment and by the end of the game you can pretty much draw a map of the world. Despite the seemingly fragile nature of the main character Elena, she does have a few tricks up her sleeve. Her ability to split her body and soul is used for a variety of puzzles, like being able to see and communicate with other wandering spirits or possess objects in the world to clear a path or help bring an item closer for human Elena to reach."
