(CriticalIndieGameR) Evoland is back with a vengeance. This RPG-inspired mashup goes beyond space and time to mix a ton of different styles from different eras in the history of gaming.

The story is complex and builds up as the game itself evolves in a very literal way. Funny dialogue and references to the pop icons of gaming make it even more entertaining and easy to follow.

There’s space-shooting, platforming, 2D fighting and a lot more. And yet, they somehow blend perfectly together.
