Great Things Are Happening in the Xbox Game Preview Program

By Xbox Wire Staff posted October 09, 2015 at 10:00 AM:

Last June at the #XboxE3 Media Briefing, we announced our Xbox Game Preview pilot program, which allows Xbox gamers to download, evaluate, and provide feedback on upcoming Xbox One games that are still under active development. The program has been a great success so far, and we have some exciting details to share with you about all three (soon to be four!) of the games that we’ve featured in Xbox Game Preview so far.

We’re proud to announce that, earlier this week, Elite: Dangerous became the first Xbox Game Preview title to graduate to an official, final release.

The Solus Project is looking promising!

looks great, definitely up there with Elite Dangerous. the other preview games seem kind of meh. I tried TLD but it seems abit bare bones with too much walking and inventory management. These narrative driven games that are coming dont really appeal to me, though one of them is horror so will fill a niche that needs filling on x1.

No mention of ARK there.... one of my most anticipated. I hope the console version is coming along OK. expecting it early 2016.

Elite Dangerous is absolutely spectacular and when planetary landings, character customization and multi-crew ships launch it will be insane.

I'd bet my last penny this better than no mans sky. How come there's no hype ?

Immorals3125d ago

Because it's nowhere near as accessible as no man's sky.

The fact it's multiplayer sells it for me, friends been raving about it!

Nice to see features that are for gamers! Being able to download, play, and then provide feedback to games prior to general release will hopefully lift the quality of games that do ship going forward!

This is a great space exploration game.

Markdn195d ago

Shame it's no longer supported though, :(

anast195d ago

A revive might be needed.

MrNinosan195d ago (Edited 195d ago )

What do you mean by quietly?
They announced it last week along the other games that was released yesterday on PS+ Extra/Premium.

GamerRN194d ago

They are trying to make it look like a casual drop, while trying to make it look like it outshines Starfield.

ModsDoBetter195d ago

Great game, sadly abandoned by the developers due to the different version it ran compared to PC.

Plenty of hours to be had, we just miss out on a bunch of cool features and story development compared to PC players.

raWfodog194d ago

I was bummed when they announced they wouldn’t be bringing Odyssey to consoles. That was when I really began losing active interest in the game. Up until then, I already had about 800 hours invested in the game.

PunksOnN4G195d ago

Nah I'm good this the dev team that had console plans then decided not to and only work on the PC version why would I support a trash company

z2g195d ago (Edited 195d ago )

its ok. its def a pc game that made its way to console randomly. been out for a few years so its not exactly "new".
