I hate how amazon don't have the price adjustments anymore. Cause I got god eater 2 for $25 and now it keep getting lower and lower every time I look at it. Hell that's for all the games cause aragami is now $18 instead of $19 as shown here.
Just ordered KOF XIV Premium Edition for my PS4, also the sound track is freaking awesome!!
KOF FTW!!
Well, I mean, the system of growth isn't new. In fact, it's super old as far as gaming goes. It's just a hard one to do effectively while planning out specific difficulty progression due to the very RNG nature of growth in certain respects, so developers often stick to experience in some form because it's just easier. You have staple points of progression, and you know that you are getting stronger in noteworthy ways. You will always get "x" skill as long as you use "y" skill so many times, or just whenever you hit the specific level for it.
Experience is just a reliable system that way, and sticking to it removes a lot of additional work from crafting any RPG. That said, it's nice to see a system that really became known with Final Fantasy 2 still being used. It wasn't a bad system. It just needed some refinements to stay viable in more modern games.
