Glad to see some companies support Japanese RPGs like this!

Epic!! Shin Megami Tensei IV was awesome! In my top 5 3ds games.

I really hope this comes West!

As good as the pass few Shin Megami Tensei games have been on the 3DS i think it is time for the series to return to its console roots.

Nocturne & Devil Saga were fantastic games on the PS2 and were some of my favorite JRPGs on the system. Look how well the Persona games have done on console & it is high time the Megami series do as well.

RpgSama3539d ago

I completely agree, Hope that with the engine they're using for Persona 5 they start releasing more games on main consoles, this is a really a missed opportunity on their part.

P.s: Wishing for a Vita release of Shin Megami Tensei IV Final, considering Persona 4: Golden is one of the best selling games on the system.

Unless it can continue to come to the 3DS while still going to another system, I disagree with it leaving.
It's getting plenty of attention as-is, anyways.

Scatpants3539d ago

I was really hyped for the last one, but it turned out to be too grindy for my tastes.

SegaSaturn6693539d ago

Yeah totally, unless you bought the Game breaking DLC which brought the grinding to a grinding halt.

Darkwatchman3539d ago

I really wanted to like SMT 4. I loved the story and setting. It was very refreshing and the gameplay is great and all. It's got a lot of great mechanics and ideas, but I've never played an RPG in my life that requires as much grinding as SMT 4. The leveling is SO slow.

fsdgf3539d ago

That's because SMT games actively discourage grinding by crippling exp gains past a certain point and reducing demon exp gains compared to your main character.
Instead you're meant to be fusing regularly and always buffing and debuffing bosses. A lot of people seem to think it's like Pokemon, where you can hang on to your favourite demons for as long as you want, but that's simply not viable. A lot of people also miss the importance of buffs, which was what made Madator so infamous in Nocturne. Unlike most JRPGs, proper buffing and debuffing is pretty much essential.
A lot of the series' difficulty comes from people not realising those two points.

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater ay ?

. . due to small 3DS screen, and lack of analog stick, Snake Eater on 3DS, suffered gameplay.

getting 8.5 everywhere .. . instead of 9.9/10 for awesome porting and 3D enhancements .. .

The NEW 3DS XL fixes all of those restrictions .. . :-)

poor vita

feraldrgn3166d ago

MGS:Snake Eater HD is available for the Vita too, with 2 symmetrical analog sticks of decent size.
Got the Platinum recently, still as fun as it was on the PS2, made even better with the free camera control.

It's a shame the Vita didn't take off hardware wise, some great exclusives & good quality ports for a handheld.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse
Rune Factory 4 - Sold Well to the point it XSEED is very proud and cut the price permantely to $30 from $50 I believe.
Hyrule Warriors Legends

Is Bravely Second worth getting? I've been looking at it for a while and tempted to get it but I never played Bravely Default. I need something else to play along with Monster Hunter Generations lol.

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory3167d ago

It my favorite game on 3DS. There is a demo for both games that let you carry over items and other bonuses.
But in terms of playing Bravely Second you need to play Bravely Default since the story will be confusing if you start with Second.

iNcRiMiNaTi3166d ago

Thanks I didn't see the demo button. I'm definitely gonna check them out to see if I like it or not

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory3166d ago

I might pick it up for Xmas. I been waiting for the eShop price drop and it finally happened. I been on my wishlist ever since it was coming out and never got the chance to get it and yeah that only cause I wasted $20 on Code of Princess.
