"It’s a great time to be a gamer, particularly a console gamer. In the last couple of weeks, there have been so many amazing games that have been released, and it’s been very difficult to keep up with them all. Just in the last month we have seen Madden 16, Dishonored: Definitive Edition, Rare Replay, Disney Infinity 3.0, Gears of War Ultimate Edition, Forza Motorsport 6, Destiny, Fifa 16, and this little title that’s seemingly taken over the gaming schedule of many a player (including myself)….the absolute juggernaut known as Metal Gear Solid V.
Now you wouldn’t be doing anything wrong to have invested in any of the aforementioned titles, in fact all of those are amazing in their own right, covering many interests and varied genres. There is a game that has came out recently in the midst of all those others, though, and that is Mad Max" -- Xbox Enthusiast.
The Mad Max game, released in 2015 by Avalance Studio has turned 9 years old; is one of the most underrated games of recent times.
Yes it is. My only complaint with the game was one of the trophies tied to the time trials. I just thought it was tedious to try to go after it.
Other than that it was worth every penny.
I still play it from time to time. Sucks it never took off as I remember looking forward to a possible sequel. Silly me.
George Miller expressed dismay toward the 2015 Mad Max game recently, but Avalanche Studios' take on the lore is still so good to this day.
I think the funny thing is if Kojima made a Mad Max game it would be so trippy and "out there" I don't think it would feel like Mad Max by the time he's done with it. This is why he's better off with original new IPs.
Kojima seems like a buzz word these film directors use because he's probably the only big name they've heard from the gaming industry.
I never played it but the recent buzz around Mad Max has piqued my interest. Will check it out this year for sure
Honestly, Kojima would do the game justice, but given his studio's current workload, it's a bit far flung. I could much rather see Bend Studios (Days Gone dev) doing a Mad Max follow-up. I'm playing through DG right now for the first time and I see lots of similarities between the games to where imo Bend could develop an impressive MM sequel.
While i like the Mad Max game and think it's underrated...i don't know why people are mad at George Miller for not liking the game based on the IP he created. Especially since a lot of people hated it at release as well looking at that 69% metacritic.
Games such as Mad Max, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Batman: Arkham Knight desperately deserve a modern-day revisit.
RDR2 still looks astounding on PS4 Pro. i cannot imagine how it could look with a next gen upgrade.
It's obviously never gonna happen since Sony killed the game and studio, but Driveclub. Even in its current state, 10 years after release, it still puts many competitors to shame ...
Mad max ikr! Far cry primal, it amuses me how ubisoft just left ac unity hanging, sadly most of the good staff left from rocksteady while being forced to make that abomination smh
Beat it already and completed almost all of the side activities except for most of the minefields which are boring as hell. Only beat 3 or 4 of them because it was so incredibly boring, dont know what they were thinking with that one.
I really want to, but i'm playing Metal Gear Solid V and soon i will start Until Dawn. I've finished Tearaway Unfolded recently too.
Maybe next month i will buy Mad Max, let's see.
MGSV is better and this got mediocre reviews and doesn't look appealing to me. Pretty simple reasoning. If you like the game Great! but I don't care for cars (have one, take care of it just enough so it works but all the money dumping into fancy crap is a waste of money in my eyes) in real life so motivation for being a carbro in game isn't what I want from my video games.
Still have DLC 2 and 3 for Dragon Age inquisition, but Destiny TTK comes first. A lot of grinding in that one.
This is still one of the top games on my list of games to play.
The Wasteland design absolutely steals the game.
