It's nearly done. After three days of drinking, chatting and, funnily enough, playing games, EGX 2015 is entering its final stretch, and we're all blearily considering the long trek home from Birmingham NEC. And what a year it's been! We've been graced by legends such as Sony's Shuhei Yoshida, been entertained by the Dragon's Den-esque Pitch Your Game Idea at the Rezzed sessions and discovered some new and exciting games at the various indie sections. What, though, have been the highlights? Here's a little selection of what's made this year's EGX special.
Ubisoft is developing a new turn-based tactics game set in the same universe as Rainbow 6 Siege, coming to current-gen consoles.
Obnoxious MT shops might not go with a game like this. Are they sure they want to make an actual game?
Another game that will launch, flop and result in people getting fired.
Just shut up and make a new Splinter Cell and stop milking Siege and make a new Rainbow Six 3 style Rainbow Six game.
The first handheld Rainbow Six game is 25 years old, and even now, we hope a new era of tactical FPS games on Nintendo consoles is dawning.
TNS: Rainbow Six Siege X is bringing some groundbreaking improvements to the game. From modernized 5v5 to Dual Front, it's a great time to breach.
So what exactly was shown off coz the only uploaded vids im seeing is people chatting away, barely any new footage being shown, and whatever is shown is maybe about a minute....worst games expo ever :(
Battlefront has been getting some good reviews from folks at EGX.. Can't wait to play it...
Xenoblade X is seems to be impressing a lot people (read impressions on Twitter).
Nintendo's playing it smart with the NX. Developing games that's playable on both their future hardware devices, will increase their software output. Add indies to the mix, and it'll even better. Nintendo's planning for the future, not relying on AAA third party games, though will gladly take them if they come.
