Thanks to established horror gaming franchises abandoning their roots in favor of a more action-oriented approach, the horror genre suffered from a few lackluster years that left fans wanting. For awhile, it seemed as though horror gaming wasn’t going to return to its former glory, but luckily, it has since enjoyed a healthy comeback.

I like how Bloodborne feels like horror the entire time. That bloody and scary atmosphere from start to finish and thoze enemies that condtantly spook you on every corner, and those damned crows and their noisy and disturbing scream always get me.

nix3035d ago

The game just drains you after a point. I used to drink a lot of coke to stay focused. Every path, every door that opens, every corner, every enemy... Such a demanding game. Such a great game.

TwoForce3035d ago

Yeah, i know. But there is one of the most scary part that i scream so much, it's above of the building. I don't remember the name, but it has a creepy music and bunch of a brain suckers.

SpinalRemains1383035d ago

Yeah that part is scary.

The Old Hunters Lab is amazing too. Way creepy.

Elda3035d ago

Those crows sound like big rabid dogs!

SpinalRemains1383035d ago

At Mergos Loft they are dogs. They're mutant half crow dog things.

Kyosuke_Sanada3035d ago

I would replace Five Night at Freddy's with Stasis. It was a random horror purchase for that's atmosphere and storytelling paid off in spades.

ShadowKnight3035d ago

Some of the puzzle's was challenging in Stasis

ziggurcat3035d ago

Bloodborne is not a horror game...

nowitzki20043035d ago

So you have not played it then?

UltraNova3035d ago

It surely isn't "Barbie and the Kinder-garden rainbow teddies of love"...

SpinalRemains1383035d ago

Yeah there's only buckets of blood, gore, and an intensely creepy element the entire time.

deadpoolio3163035d ago

That doesn't make it horror....Its an action RPG, and thats coming from Sony and From Software themselves.....God people today and their instant it has blood and gore must be horror, ITS NOT and I've platinumed the damn thing.
