Neil writes "The whole excitement and adrenaline that comes about from playing Texas Hold’em stems from the fact that it is my own hard earned cash on the line with each and every hand. Playing for nothing, or playing for virtual money really doesn’t appeal to me."
Neil writes: "If you're serious about your poker, and wish to see your very best game translated to the screen in style, then the Pure Hold'em: Jackpot Bundle will quite possibly be for you."
Neil writes: "It's a game that has been treated to all manner of DLC add-ons over the months, but now Pure Hold'em on Xbox One is coming complete in one big pack - and it contains anything and everything you could ever wish for. At least anything and everything poker related, anyways!"
Neil writes "There is nothing better than being able to add some super cheap DLC to the game of your dreams. If Pure Hold'em on Xbox One is your thing, then you need to listen up!"
Couldn't agree more. When there's no money on the line it's less fun.
I would give it a 5/5 because its the only way to play Poker on my XB1 right now. Would prefer to have Full House Poker from the 360, but have been having a blast with Pure Holdem.
Sure its not as fun with money on the line, but trying to build up your play money makes the game fun with a bit of (superficial) risk involved. If you join a Jacks or Queens room, the buy in is 100-500, and and money you win/lose goes to your bank. Playing the Joker room is easy no-risk poker.
Anyways, have already poured a lot of hours into this. Great game to play and relax if you dont want to play full attention to what's going on on screen. Beer, social and N4G friendly. I've talked to some nice people on there as well, community seems decent.
Anyhow, I recommend it to anyone who takes joy in simply playing the odds. Those who need to have something tangible on the line to enjoy a game of cards should probably pass.
