If you have been playing Destiny since the game came out, you might have heard of the VIP rewards. These are rewards for players who have put enough time into the game during year one.
Think I will avoid Bungie's trojan horse after the first one that masqueraded itself as a deep engaging story, with vast different worlds and enemies and instead gave me a hollow game with no story!
It was everything it wasn't supposed to be. Never again and NO I DO NOT THROW MONEY AT THE SCREEN, Bungie!!!
Taken King is freaking amazing, started playing the new story missions shortly after it came out early this morning and I was getting goosebumps. It feels VERY much like a true Bungie/halo game now in regards to how they are telling the story and in the cinematics. Plus the missions play out very much like Halo used to. It's definitely a completely different Destiny, much different than I expected.
Also Nathan Fillion is really taking on a strong role with the new story which = awesome. Very firefly-esc, as he pretty much is the same kind of character. Absolutely cannot wait to play again after work!!
From what I've seen it's definitely an improvement on the year one content, but I think many people can't bear shelling out almost the price of a new game just to make Destiny what it should have been a year ago. Not with what has came out recently and is coming out in the next couple of months.
@donthate - "Dont Hate" then. lol. Alright sorry man. I had to. But I have to agree with the other replies. This is an amazing gaming experience. Bungie has taken the shackles off of their story now. The gameplay is even better. The loots is even better. It's no longer a grind to level up. Dude, this is the time to get back into Destiny. I'm guessing you played Destiny based on you comment.
Yes, and have it the Bungie way you wouldn't be able to get special DLC if you didn't rebuy the entire game. After all, Bungie thinks their customers just throws money at the screen.
So you've released the rewards already but it breaks the game if you use them before the Taken King is released. While also releasing some new enemies into the game that are also unkillable until the taken King release date...
If you read the article it says that Bungie have notified them that if you use the item before the Taken King is released it will break one of the new quests therefore making it completely unavailable to you in future.
...So no, I don't see any over reaction at all. All I see is someone that has made a bit of a fool of himself :-)
Rewards are nice. I cant wait for The Taken King.
Sweet, can't wait to load up
Pretty pathetic reward if u ask me...
Bring back Dinklebot
