Microsoft alone announced a handful of games that encourage multiple players to work together. This push towards friendly multiplayer could fundamentally change the way games are made.
The upcoming Ghost of Tsushima PC port won't require players to create a PSN account when playing the game's single-player mode. Yesterday we reported that Helldivers 2 PC players will soon need to create and link a PSN account to keep playing the game. Although this was already communicated back in January of this year, making PSN mandatory for PC players after three months has caused quite some controversy with the game now harvesting bad reviews on Steam. Another upcoming PlayStation PC game that mentions the need for a PSN account is Nixxes' upcoming Ghost of Tsushima for PC.
Arrowhead Game Studios had planned on granting all Helldivers 2 players a free cosmetic for linking their PSN account.
